In the context of rapidly expanding collaborations with global vehicle manufacturers and electric vehicles start-ups, we are looking for talented and passionate Junior & Senior Motorcycle Designers, CAS Modelers, Mechanical Design Engineers.

Wheelab offers an extremely dynamic and informal working environment, with mentors having 30+ years experience in the industry and active collaborations with clients from 4 different continents. HQs are based in the beautiful countryside near Rimini, Italy.

Wheelab proposes a work model that blends in-office and remote work.
Ability to commute on a daily basis to Wheelab office in Rimini is necessary.

Motorcycle & Urban Mobility Designer

Be part of the creative team at Wheelab, at the cutting edge of ICE and EV motorcycle design as well as future Urban Mobility concepts ideation

Tasks:

  • Receive and understand design briefs
  • Work closely with the design team to create, develop, and present motorcycle concepts tailored to the clients vision and identity
  • Perform design trend research, design exploration, moodboards
  • Must be able to work on details to create innovative design solutions for motorcycle components, as well as accessories
    Participate in design reviews

Skills:

  • Strong hand drawing / sketching skills and excellent 2D rendering skills
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Alias would be an advantage
  • Passion and capabilities on 3D printing technologies are a plus
  • Passion for the motorcycle/scooter industry
  • Full professional proficiency in English

CAS Modeler Alias

Interpret design intent from 2D sketches and create appealing surfaces to give your personal shape to future mobility
Tasks:
  • Generate full vehicle CAS surfaces starting from existing styling sketches of motorcycles, scooters, urban mobility vehicles, light cargo vehicles
  • Understand styling needs and design intent as well as technical and technological requirements
  • Direct interaction and coordination with international clients and Wheelab internal styling and engineering resources for sharing requirements and specifications
  • Review designs to ensure manufacturing feasibility and production-ready quality for tooling release
  • Support the construction of mock-ups made predominantly using 3D printing technologies
Skills:
  • Autodesk Alias software experience and passion
  • Desire to continuously improve CAS modelling skills
  • Passion and capabilities on 3D printing technologies are a plus
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Passion for the motorcycle/scooter industry
  • Passionate, self-motivated and team-oriented attitude

Motorcycle Design Engineer

Being a protagonist of the technology that will move future motorcyclists and urban commuters

Tasks:

  • Meet vehicle manufacturers from around the world and understand their requirements first-hand
  • Develop technical solutions in collaboration with the styling development team.
  • Understand technology requirements for metallic, plastic and 3D printed components
  • Co-design with component suppliers with direct interaction
  • Collaborate with Wheelab internal workshop for creating high-quality running prototypes.
